elections EAHIL Board 2013
There is an
extraordinary election because there is now a
vacancy for a full EAHIL Board member. In
addition, it is usual for there to be two
co-opted (non-executive) Board members, but
since last year's Board elections were
uncontested, with only one candidate for each
vacancy, it was not possible to co-op the
un-elected candidates with the highest number of
votes. This means that the Board is currently
short of three members: one full and two
co-opted. At our February 2013 meeting, the
Board therefore resolved to hold an immediate
extraordinary election to fill the vacancy for
2013-16, in the hope that this will also provide
sufficient candidates to enable two additional
co-opted members to be recruited for 2013-14.
delighted to report that three nominations were
received - the candidates and their election
statements are shown below. Voting is
taking place from 15 April to 3 May 2013.

Since the Council and Board elections in 2012 there
is a new membership database and different voting
system in use. Voting procedures as published on page
37 of the March 2013 issue of JEAHIL differ in minor
details of the actual system settings.
For the voting in the extraordinary elections taking
place between 15 April and 3 May 2013, all members
should receive an email providing a direct link to the
new membership database. In the email, you will be
asked first to update your record, and after submitting
your record you will be forwarded to the voting
form. You may also use this link
enter the membership database and go through the
same updating and voting process.
You can only vote once!
